For over a decade, Kosmos Solutions International has been a pioneer in the realm of experiential learning and global engagement. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world experience and to empower individuals to become active agents of change in their communities and beyond.
Since our inception, we have collaborated with esteemed universities around the world, including Western Carolina University, George Washington University, and Queens University Canada, to offer transformative travel courses and volunteer internship programs. These programs have provided students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and on-site exposure to pressing global issues while making a tangible impact in communities across the globe.
Our volunteer internship program, open to individuals of all nationalities, has placed a diverse array of volunteers in roles ranging from nursing and teaching to business development. Through partnerships with local institutions such as schools, hospitals, and women’s groups, our volunteers have been able to address critical needs and contribute to meaningful projects in areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
One of the hallmarks of our programs is the immersive experience we provide to our volunteers, who often live with host families while undertaking their duties. This not only fosters cultural exchange and mutual understanding but also allows volunteers to form deep connections with the communities they serve.
From assisting women’s groups in developing websites and marketing their products to teaching in rural schools in the slums, our volunteers have made a significant impact on the ground, helping to empower individuals and uplift communities.
In addition to our international programs, we have also partnered with local universities in Nairobi, including Nairobi University, Strathmore University, and Kenyatta University, to connect their students with volunteer opportunities closer to home. These opportunities have provided local students with invaluable real-world experience and exposure to issues they may not encounter within the confines of the university walls.
Many of these students have gone on to make a lasting impact in the areas where they volunteered, applying the knowledge and experiences gained from their studies to address local challenges and drive positive change.
